WHAT CLASSES DO YOU OFFER

We offer Vinyasa classes in all levels, as well as Basics, Yin Yoga, and Mat Pilates/Pilates Sculpt & Barre (at our Upper West Side Location). Each teacher offers their own unique style to the classes with lots of variations for all levels.

IS THIS HOT YOGA?

No, our classes are room temperature (75-85 degrees).

I HAVE NEVER PRACTICED YOGA/PILATES BEFORE, WHAT CLASS SHOULD I TAKE?

You are always welcome to join in on any class we offer.  Let your instructor know you’re a beginner to receive additional variations for asanas. As a beginner, you’ll find our Yogi Basics, Vinyasa Basics, Candelit Flow, Yin, & Classic Pilates classes to be the best fit.

The hardest thing is getting on your mat!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

Wear clothes that allow you to move comfortably. You are welcome to bring your own mat and accessories, but we also have everything you need to have a great practice free of charge for members.  Mat Rentals are included when you book directly through us. There is a $2 Matt Rental Fee for Class Pass/Donation Class participants.  

Props include blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, water filling station, and water for purchase ($1).  

DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS OR LOCKERS?

Harlem has two bathrooms and cubbies. Upper West Side has a separate changing room and cubbies for your belongings. We don’t have showers, but both locations are stocked with beauty supplies including deodorant, dry shampoo, cotton swabs, mouthwash, hygiene products and more!  Studio door is locked during class.

HOW CAN I PAY?

We accept cash, credit card, apple pay.  You are also able to pre-book on mindbody a head of time.

DO I HAVE TO PRE-SIGN UP OR CAN I JUST WALK-IN?

Barre, Pilates, and Yin classes require a pre-sign up to secure your spot. We are thrilled to have more and more of you coming to our studio and as classes start to fill up we encourage you to book ahead of time. Walk-in’s may be allowed in after all students have arrived and if there’s available space.

How Do Class Packs Work?

Our Class Packs can be used within 6 Months from Date of Purchase (this may vary for sale class packs). Because they provide ample flexibility to be used within that time we don’t offer an extension on class packs. If it’s a medical emergency we can extend with a doctors note. Class Packs are not transferable. Harlem Class Packs can only be used at the Harlem Studio. Upper West Side Class Packs may be used at both locations.

WHAT IF I NEED TO LEAVE EARLY?

Please tell the teacher ahead of time. Take an early savasana and leave quietly before the rest of the class take savasana.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELATION/NO SHOW POLICY?

If you are unable to attend a class you’ve signed up for, please cancel up to 2 hours before the class is scheduled. If you cancel after the two hour window or don’t show for class, you will lose that class credit. There is no additional charge added to your account.

Running Late?: The studio buzzer and door will be open up to 5 minutes after the class starts if you are running behind. For first timers or speciality classes we request that you arrive on time to secure your spot. For sold out/speciality classes if you are late without notifying the studio you may lose your spot in class.

Class Pass Clients: Class Pass follows different Cancellation/No Show Policies than our studio. For any changes past their policies, please contact Class Pass.

WHAT’S AN UPDOG MEMBERSHIP?

We offer 4x, 8x, 12x, and Unlimited Memberships that are on a recurring payment plan monthly. Members receive one free guest pass a month, free mat storage, discounts on workshops/swag, and can receive discounts on their membership when referring friends to our studio. You are able to pause your membership due to any travel/sickness to ensure that you are able to use all your classes. Harlem Memberships can only be used at our Harlem Location. Upper West Side Memberships can be used at both locations.

DO UPDOG MEMBERSHIP CLASSES ROLL OVER?

No. All unused classes from a monthly membership must be used within the month. 

HOW CAN I FREEZE MY UPDOG MEMBERSHIP?

You may freeze your membership by emailing info@updognyc.com with the freeze dates requested. Freezes over 60 Days will be charged a $15 freeze fee per extra 30 days to hold their membership.

HOW DO I USE MY GUEST PASS?

Guests should create a MindBody account and sign the liability waiver. Email info@updognyc.com before the class so we can add the credit to your guests account.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY UPDOG MEMBERSHIP?

Email us at least 30 days before your next billing to ensure your cancellation is processed. If you request to cancel after the 30 day marker, your membership will be billed an additional month before the cancelation is processed.
